FAQs
Natural Peanut Butter
-
What oil is added in your peanut butter?
The oil you see in Teddie is naturally occurring peanut oil. Peanut oil separates slowly over time, so the amount of peanut oil that you see at the top of the jar depends on how old the jar is.
Unlike other peanut butters, we do not add any additional oils.
-
Do I have to stir the natural peanut butter?
Yes, stirring the oil back into the peanut butter ensures the proper consistency throughout the jar.
-
Do I have to refrigerate after opening?
Teddie Natural Peanut Butter does not need to be refrigerated. However, many of our customers refrigerate our peanut butter to slow the natural oil separation process. If you choose this option, we suggest stirring the peanut butter thoroughly before refrigeration.
-
You say your peanut butter has no added sugar, but why is there a sugar value listed on the nutrition label?
Peanuts contain natural sugar. We do not add any sugar to our natural peanut butter. You’ll see it’s just peanuts and salt, or just peanuts for our unsalted peanut butter.
