Boston, Massachusetts — On Wednesday, November 12th, Teddie Peanut Butter was honored at the Massachusetts State House for our 100th anniversary.
It wasn’t just a celebration of our past; it was a tribute to the people, values, and communities that have shaped Teddie for generations.
Welcomed to the State House was an honor we will never forget.
State officials shared personal memories of Teddie from their childhoods to a packed room filled with friends, family, and Teddie employees. Catherine D’Amato from the Greater Boston Food Bank and Patrick Shaughnessy from Best Buddies also spoke about how Teddie has helped make an impact on their organizations over the years. Senator Sal DiDomenico reflected on the importance of local manufacturing in Massachusetts. Hearing stories of how Teddie has made a positive impact on the state reaffirms what we have always believed: that Teddie isn’t just a product; it’s a part of people’s lives.
An Official Citation for a Century of Giving Back to the Community.
The citation was accepted by Mark Hintlian from State Senator Sal DiDomenico and State Representative Judith Garcia. This award recognized Teddie Natural Peanut Butter for its 100 years of contribution to the Commonwealth—economically, culturally, and nutritionally.
“We take pride in our commitment to keeping manufacturing local, supporting jobs, and strengthening the communities we serve”, says Mark, former CEO of Teddie and grandson of founder Michael Hintlian.
This recognition belongs to every employee, past and present, who has been part of the manufacturing process. It also goes out to every customer who has invited Teddie into their homes.
Though the citation bears the Teddie name, the day truly belonged to our team.
Attendees spoke with Teddie employees about their roles, our craftsmanship, and what it means to work for a long-rooted company. The citation may honor 100 years, but it is their daily commitment that makes every year possible.
A Century of Traditions—And the Promise of Many More
For 100 years, our commitment to producing natural peanut butter with the highest-quality peanuts has not changed. The world has changed since 1925, but Teddie has not. Our commitment has earned the trust of Teddie Nation.
As we reflect on this milestone, we know the citation is not the end of our story. The core of who we are will remain. We are a proudly independent, family-run company committed to making the best natural peanut butter possible.
Thank You, Massachusetts
Standing in the Massachusetts State House, surrounded by the leaders of our Commonwealth, we felt something powerful: gratitude. Grateful to the communities, families, and state that supported Teddie and enabled our business to thrive for over 100 years
Thank you to the legislators who honored us, the employees who bring our values to life, and our loyal customers. Here’s to a century behind us, and to many more years ahead of us.
