Celtics Announce Official Partnership with Teddie

November 15, 2018

BOSTON, MA – The Boston Celtics today announced their official partnership with Teddie Natural Peanut Butter, the top-selling peanut butter brand throughout the Northeast.

“We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Teddie Natural Peanut Butter, a local fourth-generation, family-owned business,” said Celtics Sr. Vice President of Corporate Partnerships & Business Development Ted Dalton. “Through our upcoming digital series ‘Celtics Flavor,’ we’ll be collaborating to bring behind the scenes content to Celtics fans everywhere.”

“At Teddie Natural Peanut Butter, we recognize the important role healthy eating habits play in maximizing one’s performance – whether it be on or off the court,” says Mark Hintlian, President and CEO of Teddie. “Tradition and quality have been staples in our family-owned business for nearly a century, making this a natural pairing with the Boston Celtics. These are two iconic brands that are true fan favorites!”

As part of the partnership, the Celtics and Teddie will work together in launching ‘Celtics Flavor,’ a digital series aimed at providing insight into some of the team’s favorite in-season nutritional habits via recipes and dialogue. Currently the Official Peanut Butter of Best Buddies International, Teddie will also play a central role in the Celtics’ Best Buddies Theme Night on February 13, when the team hosts the Detroit Pistons.

A charter member of the Basketball Association of America (which evolved into the National Basketball Association) since 1946, the Boston Celtics have won a record 17 NBA Championships, including eight (8) in a row from 1959-1966, winning their first title in 1957 and their most recent in 2008. The Celtics have long stood for equality and respect, including hiring the first African American Coach and starting the first all black starting five. In addition, 39 former Celtics players, management or staff have been inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In December 2002 the team returned to local ownership for the first time since 1963. For more information on the Celtics, log on to www.celtics.com.
